Hawaii sea breeze, a stellar display of heartwarming flowers, sunshine and loved ones, both family and lifelong friends.

Welcome to the wedding of Grant Fielder and Jess Brennan. A day that will, undoubtedly be forever special to everyone lucky enough to see these two, best of friends, have the wedding so many dream of.

I know what you’re thinking, “It’s Hawaii, of course we all want that!” but in all seriousness that isn’t even relevant to why this was the wedding we all, should someday hope for.

It was everything else. The laughter was real, the friendships genuine and the respect and love undeniable. Since high school this couple have been side by side through thick and thin. Their bond holding strong no mater the challenge and their strength in love has flourishing in the years that have past.

Before Jess walked down the stairs to meet Grant for their private first look, I said to our groom, “she looks stunning”, his instantly warm response required no thinking on his part, no question, “she always does” he replied, with a smile that proved he knew right then that he was the luckiest man on earth… That wasn’t the first time that day I would struggle to hold in the tears.

I meant it entirely though when I said she looked stunning. Radiant and beautiful don’t begin to describe it. Jess’s natural confidence and laughter shon through as her happiness overflowed and infected the entire assembly! The bridesmaids, dressed in a blush pink, held in the tears as best they could when they first saw the soon to be Mr & Mrs together.

From a photographers point of view, this wedding was on point. I had a gorgeous, cooperative bride & groom with a legendary set of back up dancers (bridesmaids and groomsmen), a wedding planner to keep all the suppliers on time, in line and doing a precision perfect job, a great location at the Halekulani – Honolulu and I just knew the sunset would be epic! And it was. Everything just worked.

As a friend, this wedding was touching, honest and I couldn’t help but feel so much happiness and love for these two and hope that their future always be as incredible as their wedding day was. I was honored to be there and I know the entire congregation felt the same. How could they not. (Not a question)

Thank you Jess and Grant for asking me to be some crazy part of your wedding. It was incredible and from the bottom of my heart I wish for every other person that they get to experience, or even witness, this kind of honest, true, no excuses, love. You guys (bride, groom and bridal party) will forever be Hawaii to me now.

Cheers!
